Your Pet’s Veterinary Surgery Visit
Please refrain from feeding your pet the evening before his or her scheduled surgery. Upon check in, our veterinary team is ready to provide your pet personalized attention throughout the surgical procedure and recovery. In accordance with the gold standard surgical practices, we require a pre-operative examination and blood screening prior to all anesthetic procedures.
During the procedure, your pet’s comfort is important to us, and we use the latest in pain management techniques to keep your pet calm and comfortable during surgery. We strictly monitor your pet’s temperature, heart rate and rhythm, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen level in the blood.
During recovery, we continue to monitor your pet to ensure he or she is comfortable and pain free. We will call you with an update after surgery and to coordinate a discharge time. When it is time to pick up your pet, we will discuss all post-operative care instructions, and we can conveniently fill necessary pet medications onsite.
